A. Write 5-10 lines about your passions (hobbies, books, sports) and / or what you did over Xmas break (things you did, places you went, books read, sports played, or movies you watched, etc.). Then SKIP 2 two lines and add the sciencestory requirement below.
B. PLAGIARIZING on purpose: Go to my Biology Twitter (@apbioloyd) feed or the NY Times Science section and scroll thru the articles link to find something interesting and then 'plagiarize' about 5-10 lines by cutting and pasting from any story you find online into the document you just created.
C. Save and TITLE your work as NAME PERIOD # WINTER PRACTICE and submit/upload to yournewsemester Turnitin class. ****CAUTION !!!ALWAYSWait for uploading to complete before turning computer off or putting it to sleep. After you click SUBMIT and then WAIT, a CONFIRM button appears. Click it and you are done uploading. You will receive an email confirmation notice from Turnitin if you have been successful doing this. SAVE this confirmation in your email inbox. It's your proof you did the assignment.
FALL SEMESTER ONLY--IMPORTANT! For just this 1st FALL practice assignment, PRINT THE CONFIRMATION RECEIPT OUT and bring it to class to turn in. Do not delete any of these confirmation notes until the end of the semester. Leave it in your email account. It's your proof you've done the work. Remember, leave it in your email account. If you say you did the work but it doesn't show on Turnitin I will ask to see your confirmation email.
